Gift Giving Made Easy AND Local!

I know that a certain day at the end of this week will throw some people into a panic and others into utter denial. To me, it’s just another Friday! However, if there is a special person you want to get something for, then why not look outside of the standard (and boring) and support local businesses at the same time?!

I, personally, celebrate Galentine’s Day (this includes gifts for judgement) more often than Valentine’s Day and Hoot and Howl in Morgantown can supply you with the perfect gift for either day. I would list all the fabulous makers and artisans, but I definitely can’t, as there are too many. However, you can be sure that if you need help finding the right gift that the owner, Stephanie Swaim, will help you hunt out the perfect thing. From jewelry, pottery, to fabulous cutting boards and beyond there is something for that cherished person in your life (this includes YOU!). When I need a gift, Hoot and Howl is always my first stop. Check out the photos below for some quick gift ideas that caught my eye the last time I stopped by the shop.

You can drop by Hoot and Howl (245 Walnut Street, Morgantown WV) any day this week from 10:30 to 6:00 to fulfill those shopping needs and tell Stephanie I said Hi!!! You can peruse some of the other great gifts available if you swing by the shop’s Social Media at

This picture looks like it contains a perfect gift ensemble... Hilarious conversation hearts by AngelaAwesomePants (, adorable valentines by Elisha Rush (, some much needed lip balm by Una Biologicals (, and you can never go wrong with chocolate by Appalachian Chocolate Company (

There are also gifts for those in your life who want something more unique and personal. My little leather envelope necklaces come with a small message inside, but you can 100% add your own! I recommend it. Whether it's for a friend who could use a little positive affirmation in your life or some tender words for your loved ones, it's a gift that you can make new with each note. I also just love the butterflies and moths from BatterBee Decor (, they always remind me of a book I read as a child that was a true favorite, "Girl of the Limberlost" by Gene Stratton-Porter. Also the great Mothaman merch is by the very talented Liz Pavlovic (

Let me know what amazing things you find when make it in to the shop!

As always, Stay Whimsical! -Angi
